Day 01: UK – Cape Town

Board your overnight flight to South Africa (Costs Excluded)

Day 02: Cape Town

  • Arrival Cape Town International Airport.
  • Transfer to your hotel. Evening at Leisure at the V&A Waterfront.
  • Dinner at Waterfront

Day 03: Cape Town – Full Day Peninsula Tour – Cape of Good Hope – Penguin Colony

After breakfast depart for a day full of fun & adventure, as you proceed on a full day guided Cape Peninsula tour. Experience some of the most spectacular views in the world. The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast passing through the fishing village of Hout Bay. Here you will be taking a short boat trip to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur seals. The tour then heads along Chapman’s Peak Drive (if open) on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. From there we travel to False Bay and return to Cape Town by way of the Simon’s Town naval base where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Day 04: Cape Town City Tour – Table Mountain –  Robben Island

After breakfast depart on a guided orientation City tour of Cape Town. A comprehensive city orientation tour starting with a trip up Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting). The state-of-the-art cable car rotates 360 degrees on its way to the top, offering a panoramic view. At the summit are short walks to enjoy the magnificent vistas. Other highlights include a brief tour of the Malay Quarter, city centre, Company Gardens, Castle of Good Hope (from outside, time permitting). The tour then departs by boat from V&A Waterfront’s Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, a symbol of the Triumph of the Human spirit over adversity. This is where the former President, Nelson Mandela, spent 18 of his 27 years in prison. On arrival it is small bus ride around the island before approaching the prison. On returning to Cape town after the tour have a relaxing evening while having dinner.

Day 05: Cape Town – Hermanus – Mosel Bay – George

Enjoy your hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive along the coastal road to the village of Hermanus, where sheltered bays are home to the Southern Right whale in calving season (July to November). Drive through the semi-desert area of the little Karoo with its wealth of Anglo-Boer war history and its sheep farms. Long before white settlers established Swellendam as the third European town in South Africa, vast herds of game grazed on pastures lush with an abundance of water from the confluence of two major rivers. Along the way we drive along to Mosel Bay. A coastal village and harbour of the World Famous Garden Route. Later you drive to George for overnight.

Day 06: Cango Caves – Oudtshoorn Ostritch Farm – Cango Wildlife Ranch – George

Enjoy your hearty breakfast at the hotel. We explore the town of Oudtshoorn, known as the “Feather Capital of the World” thanks to its huge Ostrich Industry, we visit the Cango Ostrich Farm.  After, proceed to the famous Cango Caves. Later depart for Cango Wildlife Ranch: Human beings have always been inquisitive creatures by nature and the Cango Wildlife Ranch are sure to quench your thirst for knowledge. Find out how old crocodiles become and why crocs only eat in summer. Let our fully bilingual guides take you on an adventure where you can explore the facts and fiction surrounding these ancient relics of the past. Enjoy a close up view and interaction with Cheetahs while your guide introduces these glorious creatures to you. We then return back to hotel in George.

Day 07: George – Knysna – Sundowner cruise

Enjoy your hearty breakfast at the hotel. This morning drive towards Knysna – one of the best known lagoons in South Africa. Nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean just outside the town of Knysna, the Lagoon is protected from the ocean by the Knysna Heads. The Lagoons’ rich marine life includes the rare and endangered Seahorse. Knysna area is one of the most scenic in the world and offers beaches, lakes and lush forest to play. In the afternoon depart for an afternoon Sundowner cruise, afterwards return to your hotel.

Day 08: Knysna – Tsitsikamma Forest – Port Elizabeth 

Enjoy your hearty breakfast at the hotel. Check out and settle all personal accounts. Travel through Nature’s Valley to Tsitsikamma Forest – home of the mighty yellowwood trees. Along the way stop at the world’s highest Bungy Bridge. Continue driving on to Port Elizabeth.  Check in at the hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 09: Port Elizabeth – Johannesburg- Mabula / Pilanesberg

Enjoy your hearty breakfast at the hotel. Check out and settle all personal accounts. Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your Game Reserve. Enjoy afternoon Game drive. Overnight at the lodge.  (Afternoon game drive depends on early flight from Port Elizabeth).

Day 10: Mabula / Pilanesberg – Sun City

This morning you have the option of an early morning Game Drive (05h30am).  Breakfast at the lodge and then check out at 11h00am.  We then proceed to Sun City. On arrival in Sun City we have the afternoon at leisure.

Day 11: Sun City

We have the morning at leisure to explore Sun City. Spend the afternoon swimming at The Valleys of the Waves.Overnight Sun City.

Day 12: Sun City – Soweto – Johannesburg

After breakfast, you proceed on a town ship tour of Soweto. You visit the biggest township in South Africa, the birthplace of the Apartheid movement. You drive past the residence of Nelson and Winnie Mandela. Later visit the famous Indian market. Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 13: Johannesburg – UK

After breakfast, depending on time of your flights we check out of the hotel and have a morning city tour of visiting statue of Mahatma Gandhi in his law outfit of his younger days. Later proceed to Johannesburg International Airport for your onward flight home.
